Description
The Cancer Wellbeing Service is a free support service for anyone affected by cancer, including
Trust staff. No referral is needed.
We understand that cancer impacts lives in many different ways and at different times, including
physical, emotional, practical, social and financial effects.
We offer support for people who are:
- Newly diagnosed with cancer
- Having treatment for cancer
- Recovering from cancer
- Living with Cancer
- Experiencing long term effects after cancer
- Friends, family or colleagues
- Healthcare Professionals
Specialist staff are available to offer advice and a listening ear. There are also a wide range of
support services available, including individual or group support and information sessions. We offer
counselling sessions for patients and their carers, run by qualified and student counsellors. Please
give us a call or drop in during our opening hours to find out more.
We also have Information Centres based in the Haematology/Oncology Department, and in the Woodlands
Centre in Hinchingbrooke. We are supported by volunteers, and able to offer student counselling
placements.
